GENERAL INFO
In 1999, Nintendo and HAL Laboritores. (The makers of the Kirby games) decided to make an original fighting game starring all of Nintendo's most famous characters: Mario, Link, Donkey Kong, Samus, Yoshi, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Captain Falcon and Luigi . . . It was a major success!!

The game sold very well, and so, they decided to make a sequel.

Enter Super Smash Bros. Melee.

The sequel to Super Smash Bros. was unveiled at Nintendo's Press Conference the day before the E3 2001 show. Were they showed a video demonstration of the game, it got tons of applause.

Super Smash Bros. Melee will be a GameCube launch game in the US on November 5th, along with five other first-party Nintendo games.
