METROID PRIME
Can you believe it's been seven years since Super Metroid came out? Well, Nintendo has finally decided to make a new Metroid game.

After a short demo of Samus running down a hall, being chased by some awesome looking enemies, at last years SpaceWorld 2000 show, the demo was finally unveiled to be the next Metroid game.

Called Metroid Prime, the new Metroid game was finally unveiled at E3 2001. It wasn't playable though, and not much information is known about the game.

All we really know is that it is supposedly a prequel to the first Metroid.

Nintendo has labeled it as a First-Person Adventure. It will reportadly have both first-person (Probably for aiming and shooting weapons) and third-person elements. It won't be a First-Person Shooter though, that's pretty much for sure.

Metroid Prime has been going through some troubled times though, as Nintendo reportedly isn't satisfied with what Nintendo second-party Retro Studios has been doing with the product.

Nintendo handed Retro Studios the Metroid reins, and they are developing the title. Although Shigeru Myimoto is still going to watch over the project.

Well, I guess all we can do is hope it turns out good. Good luck Retro :-)
