[abstract taken from CBS] 163 [8.05-02] In Thin AirHarm is assigned to defend an officer responsible for plane maintenance accused of causing the death of a radio intercept officer. Meanwhile, Harriet's attempts to keep Bud resting at home have a negative effect on his rehabilitation. [abstract taken from CBS] 164 [8.06-02] Offensive ActionHarm defends a female pilot accused of sexual harassment by a member of her crew who claims she ruined his future in the military because he rebuffed her advances. Harm is skeptical of his client's denials of the charges, while his co-counsel, Lt. Cmdr. Manetti, is sympathetic, causing tension between the JAG lawyers. Prosecutors Mac and Sturgis seem to have an open and shut case with their star witness testifying until Harm throws them a curveball that throws the case wide open. [abstract taken from CBS] 165 [8.07-02] Need to KnowHarm, Mac and Sturgis must find a way around the CIA's classified information rules regarding the loss of a nuclear submarine and its passengers in order to follow the orders of the new Secretary of the Navy. [abstract taken from CBS] 166 [8.08-02] Ready or NotHarm is forced to defend a General who is being charged with reckless endangerment and failing to follow protocol during a routine exercise to test tactics and technologies on the battlefield. Harm is skeptical that the case can be won because his charge, Major General West, seems to have a personal agenda against the project's commanding officer. Additionally, Harm must try his case before the appointed judge -- Mac. [abstract taken from CBS] 167 [8.09-02] When The Bough BreaksThe future of seven seamen hang in the balance due to Lt. Singer's recommendation of court martial for all of them following a mishap on the ship. However, Singer's career could also be doomed if the father of her unborn child is someone on the Seahawk, and it's Harm and Mac's job to find out who it is. The problem is, the career-oriented Singer isn't talking, so Harm enlists the help of Lt. Manetti to do some sneaky behind-the-scenes investigating in order discover the identity of the father. [abstract taken from CBS] 168 [8.10-02] The KillerHarm and Manetti go to Naples, Italy to investigate a series of four serial murders which Interpol believes to be the work of a U.S. Marine on leave from his destroyer. [abstract taken from CBS] 169 [8.11-02] All Ye FaithfulA miracle is needed as events on Christmas Eve conspire to prevent the JAG team from spending Christmas Day together at Bud and Harriet's. [abstract taken from CBS] 170 [8.12-03] ComplicationsHarm and Mac are assigned to investigate after a Marine General claims a doctor caused his daughter's death in the operating room, even after the physician was cleared of malpractice. After a nurse testifies that General Kubin intimidated her into blaming the doctors, Mac must find out what really happened in the operating room in order to defend the General from obstruction of justice while Harm prosecutes. Meanwhile, Bud is so frustrated with the simple cases he's been given, he decides to investigate what appears to be an open and shut case and gets surprising results. [abstract taken from CBS] 171 [8.13-03] Standards Of ConductMac is called in to minimize the damage after a Navy lieutenant blows the whistle regarding deficiencies in a top-secret Navy combat device. Meanwhile, Harm is threatened with a lawsuit by an elderly lady and her shady lawyer following a minor traffic accident. [abstract taken from CBS] 172 [8.14-03] Each of Us AngelsA wounded Marine lieutenant and his nurse fall in love on board a hospital ship as World War II rages off the coast of Iwo Jima. [abstract taken from CBS] [Note: Cast members appear as different characters in this tribute to U.S. Navy nurses.] 173 [8.15-03] Friendly FireNewly appointed JAG Judge Rabb hears the high-profile case of a U.S. pilot involved in the accidental bombing of British troops in Afghanistan while Mac prosecutes. Mac's fear for her case is two-fold: one, that Harm might try to get back at her for perceived slights when their roles were reversed in a recent case and, two, that Harm's background as a fighter pilot might play in favor of the defendant. Adding to the tension in the courtroom is the Secretary of the Navy's pressure to convict, which makes his political concerns readily apparent. [abstract taken from CBS] 174 [8.16-03] Heart and SoulAdmiral Chegwidden struggles for survival in the freezing mountains after he accidentally ejects himself from a fighter jet. As the Admiral puts all his survival skills to the test to fight the elements, Harm commandeers a Humvee against orders and drives into the frigid mountains of Virginia to conduct his own ground search while choppers search from above. Meanwhile, Mac tries to keep the grim news from the JAG crew as she tries to locate Meredith to inform her of her beau's accident. [abstract taken from CBS] 175 [8.17-03] Empty QuiverWhen a nuclear torpedo can't be accounted for by the crew of a submarine on its way to the Middle East, Cmdr. Turner is sent to investigate whether it's a case of terrorism or carelessness. Meanwhile, Harm arrives at Norfolk to investigate charges that his client may have misappropriated Navy funds and finds himself trapped on the base while his client's trial moves on without Harm's presence.
