Aan die bors van lilil | All through the valley | A million years and more | Behold the storm | Bound in the eyes of her Father | Burst open your seeds my love | Do you know her...? | Fire upon a tree | Hy is tuis | I am fine | I feel like a deer | Klein skêrtjie in die hand | lilli and the twelve baskets | lilli en die geknoopte tonge | lilli stap die NG-Kerke binne | Mmmmm... lilli | NO time to play | Out of a tiny seed. | The day when God cried | The last mile | The sum
Out of a tiny seed.
Out of a tiny seed, I spread forth...
Growing upwards.
Nursed by the love of my Creator.
Being cuddled by His soft breezes.
Warmed by the sun and nurtured by the moon.
Softly... and sweetly.
I grew strong by His loving hands.
His touches and embraces…
and the pure milk He provided.
His ways being so perfect, so fine.
His shade being so divine.
I grew up and spread my branches to the sides.
I spread them wide, as far as I could.
My leaves I turned upwards, glorifying my Creator.
Yes, I grew big, really big in His love.
Then I said, “Holy Creator, now I am big and strong.
Now You have completed me.
How glorious are Your works.”
“My little one…” He said in the softest way,
“… how sweet you are.”
For a moment I was rattled.
“You called me `little one'
Lord, Surely You can see how big I am.
Look how far my branches stretch.
Look how tall I am !
Look how shiny my leaves.
Look Lord, I surely am beautiful...
big and strong.
Through the soft shades He sometimes cuddled me in...
I could see Him looking at me.
He reached down...
touching my eyes, stroking my leaves, loving me.
Looking into His glorious face...
my eyes… opened by His touch...
He removed the shade for a little while...
smiling sweetly and I could see.
The very shade He cuddled me in, was a mere shrub.
How big Lord... how big are Thee!!
