K56flex
Lucent and Rockwell's joint 56K protocol that makes Rockwell's K56Plus and Lucent's V.flex2 technologies interpretable.

K56Plus
Rockwell's proprietary protocol for 56000 bps asynchronous communications. Merged with Lucent's V.flex to create K56flex.

kbps
kilobits per second. The data transfer speed on a network, measured in multiples of 1,024 bps.

kBps
Kilobytes Per Second. Remember, one byte=eight bits.

Kermit
A protocol used for transferring files over a dial-up connection that is commonly used on BBS system.
