Life's mirage still shimmers
On the desert's horizon.
We plod onward, thirsting
For completion...
Always believing there
Must be an end.It doesn't occur to most
We are forever approaching.
Time nipping at our heels,
Death's interval encroaching,
Searching for where
Eternity kneels.Every lifespan, every soul
Orbits within a larger scheme.
Grains of sand in the desert,
Brine molecules in the sea,
All tiny tunes within a master theme.To always be arriving,
Approaching the sunrise of a dream..
That is our destiny.
No state of finality...
Transient milk with the sweetness
Of cream.There can be nothing wrong
With realizing the truth
Of this song.
To be always growing,
Ever vibrant, ever knowing,
Not concerned with how long.Therein lies the promise
Of what we truly are...
Companions of eternity,
Voyagers on the sea of forever,
Always blossoming on a star.
