~Spirit Rain~

It is said that
Tears and the sea
Are cousins,
That roses don't always bloom
In dozens,
And when we cry
It's the rain of our souls.

When streaming tears
Start rolling,
It must mean our spirits
Need consoling
By releasing
Our cleansing rain.

Through storm and strife
It helps return
Balance
To our life;
Halos and mist
Clear the way.

Sadness begets
Serenity
And through our
Spirit's divinity,
We let emotion
Have it's way.

Tears and rain
Relieve
Suffering and pain...
Better than to be
Held at bay.

So when you
Feel like crying,
Do not seek a cloud
In which to hide.
Just let your aching
Spirit rain,
And tell them
"There's a storm inside."
