This newsgroup is used to test the capabilities of Microsoft Outlook Express and is a testing ground to see what the program can do. Beyond that, it is an outlet for creative expression. The group is an unmoderated group with no leader, hosted by Microsoft. Here, HTML is respected as well as expected.

Posting Hints:

   1.  There are a few rules for the newsgroup:

A. Appropriate Language: The purpose of the newsgroups is to exchange technical information and expertise on Microsoft products. Please avoid personal attacks, slurs, and profanity in your messages.

B. Message Topics: Please keep the topic of messages relevant to the subject of the newsgroup. It's normal for some message topics to drift from the stated subject. However, to ensure maximum impact and benefit for all involved, please keep your messages close to the newsgroup's subject.

C. Advertising/Solicitation: The newsgroups are for peer-to-peer assistance on Microsoft products. Participants are asked to refrain from posting advertisements or solicitations not pertaining to the intended use and purpose of the newsgroups.

D. Please abstain from crossposting between newsgroups. The frequent and horrid habit of crossposting between IE55 and IE5 newsgroups make irritating malfunctions and unwanted error produce primarily among IE5/OE5 users. Crosspostings will generate duplicated, or in the worst of cases triplicated "Reply all" replies.

   2.   There are a lot of people here who are learning the  basics and  are asking for help.

   3.  For postings of an "Adult Nature" please begin header with (Rated R).

   4.  For postings which include ASF please begin header with (ASF).

   5.  To see the HTML source code: Use Ctrl & F2.

   6.  To see the MESSAGE source code: Use Ctrl &F3.

   7.  Size of posts: 1 meg maximum, most are under 125k and part  of the art is keeping posts small.

   8.  Lurkers: Feel free to come out when you want, nobody will bite. We all started as  novices.

To be able to view all of the posts, you should have the most current version of Direct X.
You should also stay current with the critical updates from Microsoft.
