PREVIOUS ASSIGNMENTS:
· 2 years on USS Marchant
· Served
in the Mantanan Fleet for 7 years
PRIME MOTIVATIONS:
· To learn and explore.
· To leave his past behind.
· To protect his homeworld.
AMBITIONS:
· To be the best pilot in
the Quadrant.
· To find something interesting
enough for him to see it through to the end.
GENERAL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION:
Genial and generally cheery. It is impossible for a Sarlok to experience
aggressive feelings or the darker emotions, so he cannot get angry or enraged,
though he can snap and snarl for effect. He is curious and enquiring,
but has a strange attention span - he can be totally focused on one of
his projects one week, and then the next he'll be on to the next project.
He is intense and single minded for the amount of time he's involved in
a project. However, he is also fairly secretive about himself.
His past is dark, and can remove himself from deeper conversations abruptly
if they look like turning to those areas he won't discuss.
HOBBIES/RECREATION:
· Socializing with the Regulars
· Pottering around in the
Arboretum.
· Conducting experiments
in the science labs.
· Developing and practising
new manoeuvres in the holodeck.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Tall,
thin and wiry. Handsome with angular features. High cheekbones.
Straight short blonde "hair", and has bright green spots covering his chest
and throat. Looks young. Hairless face and body. Olive
(green tinted) skin, green eyes. (Faint alien accented speech)
(6’2")
WHY CHARACTER JOINED STARFLEET:
After the wars against Mantana and an as yet unidentified party, and after
Mantana became an ally of the Federation, Jondalar decided that Starfleet
was the best place to explore and learn.
PERSONAL HISTORY:
Served in the Mantanan Fleet after puberty,
and during that time hosted the seed for two children. He was in
the midst of some of the bloodiest fighting in the War, and learned many
piloting techniques during that time. After the War and the Alliance
with the Federation, he brought those skills to Starfleet.
PERSONAL DETAILS:
· Loves the Arboretum and
pottering around up in the oak tree in the Forest Level.
· He doesn't mind playing
the odd prank, but prefers joking around. The prank has to be mild
and not too embarrassing for the one being attacked.
· He has a number of projects
on the boil, but tends to focus on one at a time. He is a common
visitor in the science labs.
· He needs to have sex every
once in a while. Not in the way humans need to have sex, but more
like the way Vulcans do, but more often and a fight won't let it pass over.
When the Need comes on them, they have to have sex... right then.
However, they need to do it with a Mantanan. K’Teira has created
a program for him in the holodeck, but when the need for him to become
"pregnant" comes on him, he has to do it with a real Mantanan.
· He has no problems with any
outward display of sexuality, owing to his Mantanan raising and their tendency
to drop in a quiet corner and do it when the need comes on them.
· Telepaths find it hard to read
Mantanans, though it is possible by a few.
· The spots on his throat and
chest are actually chlorophyll spots which need to be exposed to white
light for a certain amount of time each day. If this doesn't happen,
or too many remain covered, he will tire easily. To combat this his
uniform has been modified so that his entire throat area and some of his
chest remains exposed at all times. His dress uniform, however, creates
some problems for him.
FAMILY DETAILS:
· Mother - Garanial Barlok,
alive
· Son (Male) - Jeren Teral,
alive
· Daughter - Doreni Lamian,
alive
FAMILY HISTORY:
He doesn't know his fathers, as is standard
in a Mantanan family. He has mated twice so far, and will be due
for another mating sometime in the next two years.
SECRETS IN BACKGROUND?: He
did a lot of horrible things in the War and still has recurring nightmares
about them.
FUTURE MILESTONES?: He will
mate sometime in the Fairburn mission.
DETAIL RELATIONSHIPS WITH:
Susan
Randall: He likes her and is proud she is his Captain.
A Captain he can laugh with? Cool!
James
Grieg: He'd love to joke with him, and they would work well together.
They'd have some interesting discussions, but I don't think they'd be true
friends.
K’Teira:
She's a lot of fun, and has a nice sense of humour. He enjoys talking
with her, and they'd have fun together. He'd appreciate her efforts
to make his sojourn away from Mantana comfortable, and he'd love joking
with her. But even she won't be able to get into his darker areas.
Eden
Pendehar: He thinks Eden is a kind, sweet man, and a good doctor.
Rell:
He really likes the Engineer, even if Rell tears strips off him for putting
too much pressure on 'his' ship in hair-raising maneuvers. He'd want
him to get to the point in his stories, though.
Elek:
Two loners, but only one seems to be one. He wishes Elek would break
through the ice wall around her sometimes, but understands that that's
the way she has to be. He won't think much of her outside the job.
Ian
Randall: He appreciates it that Ian lets him use a lab as his
own, but he gets the feeling Ian doesn't really like him very much.
He doesn't like it that Ian sometimes snaps at him.
Thomas Moore:
They wouldn't have much to do with each other save in a work context, but
they are brothers under the skin, given their pasts of giving and receiving
pain.
Kylen Dubois:
He'd like her, and even trust her to a degree, even though she is a telepath.
There's just something about her he likes. He isn't sure what it
is...
Berry
Mogaddi: Telepaths find it hard to read him, but even so he treads
carefully around Berry. She's friendly and open and honest, but too
forthright and even too assertive for his tastes.
Matthew
Daniels: He thinks Daniels is a laugh, and they would share many
a fun time together.
Jedera:
They'd be great friends, swapping information and knowledge, and they'd
like each other very much.
Lisa Willbanks:
He'd like her if she wasn't quite as mercurial as she is. He feels
more sorry for her than anything, and feels she's far too easily irritated
by things that shouldn't affect her as much as they do.
Viana Jancris:
Joenn:
They're friends and colleagues, and he'd help her with almost anything.
Chianeé
Deserine: He'd like her,
and they'd be distant friends. |
