GENERAL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION:  In Sickbay she can seem older than she is.  She is professional, mature, caring, compassionate and sympathetic to her patients.  Off duty, goaded or without patients, however, she's a different person.  She can be brash, even offensive - though she's still caring, she's more aggressive about it.  She can be nasty, argumentative (if others rile her), has a quick temper and is sarcastic. 
     However she is also friendly and caring, but makes herself an easy target for stirrers as she is easily irritated, especially if people use her middle name.  She's a little immature, and has a self confidence problem a lot of her aggression is designed to hide.  Underneath she is a good person, but has a lot of growing up to do. 
 
HOBBIES/RECREATION: 
· Socializing, particularly with the Regulars. 

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:  Small to average height, almost childlike with shoulder length light brown hair.  Freckles.  Cute - not chubby but well fleshed enough to have dimples in her cheeks when she smiles.  She looks a cheery person, but her twinkling eyes will quickly flash with anger as she turns on people.  Pink skin, blue eyes.  American accent.  (5'4") 

WHY CHARACTER JOINED STARFLEET:  It was the best place to go and learn, see new things and travel within.  Her father was in it, and he inspired her to it. 

PERSONAL HISTORY:  Born in Indianapolis, Earth. 
     She was a good student who decided on medicine late; Starfleet had been her first goal and medicine came later. 
     She went through the Academy well; not acing the course, but still doing very well - top 15% in almost everything. In practice however she shone, showed real skill in her chosen profession  and earned her berth on the Fairburn even though she's just over a year out of the Academy at launch. 

PERSONAL DETAILS: 
· She absolutely cannot stand the name Juliana, but unlike others who ignore the name they hate, she answers (irritably) to it as her mother calls her it.  Her father didn't like the name, and to keep him happy her mum gave her the first name of Lisa, though she insists on calling her Juliana.  Most of the senior staff would call her Lisa if a personal name was required, but Eden and Daniels call her Juliana because they're pigs!  
· She and her mother are very different personalities, and her mother annoys her more than anyone else in the Quadrant. 
· She knew Carmen at the Academy, and Carmen, while running a close second to Lisa's mum in the annoyance stakes, is still a good friend.

The family moved around a lot, following Andrew around from place to place - every child was born somewhere new, and only Lisa was born on Earth.

FUTURE MILESTONES?:  Lisa is the one directly in charge of trying to find out what it was that attached itself to Eden - not being able to get it off would niggle at her, for if he couldn't depend on her then, when would he be able to?, she thinks.  She would also be one of the most strident voices arguing for him to go to a Starbase for treatment.  

DETAIL RELATIONSHIPS WITH: 

Susan Randall:  She doesn't see the Captain much, and wouldn't presume to form opinions of her command style - or at least voice them.  Lisa likes what she sees, though.   

James Grieg:  She likes what she sees here, too, but not in the same way!  She has a major crush on the quietly intellectual Commander, but manages to hide it pretty well. 

K’Teira:  She ends up liking the Klingon as they both have tempers and K'Teira has the self control to discipline hers.  She wants to learn how the Klingon keeps hers so hidden and private, and listens to her advice avidly as long as its not overtly couched (eg, "Your temper is quite a problem.  I would suggest...").  As long as it seems K'Teira isn't aware she's helping the doctor, Lisa's pride is unbruised and she will listen.  She might have fleeting fits of jealousy towards K'Teira when it becomes apparent to her Grieg likes K'Teira, but these will pass. 

Eden Pendehar:  She appreciates he sees her as an equal instead of a lackey, and she occasionally uses him as a confidante when her other friends aren't good enough. 

Rell:  She wouldn't see much of him, but she'd get tired of his long sagas. 

Elek:  She finds her arrogant, and can't understand why she insists on only Pendehar as her doctor.  This insults her to the core of her insecurities, and so Elek irritates her no end. 

Ian Randall:  He annoys her too, but he does it deliberately! 
  
Thomas Moore:  To be honest, until she got to know anything of him, she'd be utterly terrified of him.  
 
Kylen Dubois:  She isn't sure about Kylen.  Sure, she's friendly and all that, but what is it with these Olympans?  Lisa'd be one of those still a tad suspicious of Olympian motives, but she would be friendly to Kylen.  
  
Berry Mogaddi:  She isn't quite sure what to make of Berry, and so will go very carefully around her.  
   
Matthew Daniels:  She wishes he wouldn't turn the annoying on her, as he is sometimes very funny.  She does think he should grow up, though.  

Jedera:  She is grateful to him when he starts to step in and curb her attention away from making an ass of herself.  She sometimes needs to be diverted and calmed down, and Jedera is a great friend to her for doing so.  

Jondalar Barlok:  One of the Regulars, but she mostly talks to him on a casual basis; she won't deliberately single him out from the rest of them for a chat unless she has something specific in mind.  She's interested in his unique biology, though.
