PREVIOUS ASSIGNMENTS:
· USS Dante
· USS Sylvestri
PRIME MOTIVATIONS:
· To find a balance between
her upbringing and her people; to find her place.
AMBITIONS:
· To get into Engineering
as she was trained for.
· To live on Mantana someday.
GENERAL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION:
Quite opiniated, strong and aggressive (not physically). Tenacious
- she'll hang on even after everyone has turned away from her. Forthright
- she says what she thinks, sometimes without thinking it through - but
she is smart, and she is learning to curb it. Doesn't have any preconceived
gender roles. Respectful of authority, but does indulge in relatively
harmless gossip about the seniors just like the majority of younger officers.
HOBBIES/RECREATION:
· Socializing with the Regulars,
especially chatting about the seniors.
· She holodecks, doing a
range of "holo-novels", but not so many of the aggressive ones, surprisingly.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Average
Terran height, lean and with quick movements. A wild mane of layered
blonde hair and with the Trillian lines of brown pigment spots running
down the sides of her face, over her shoulders and further down.
Rather sharp facial features. Olive skin, sea green eyes. (Faint
alien accent) (5'7")
WHY CHARACTER JOINED STARFLEET:
A sense of purpose and she could fit in better - as a Mantanan raised Trill,
she didn't fit in well with the Trills, and her quirks would be more accepted
in the wider Fleet community. Besides; it was a good idea at the
time!
PERSONAL HISTORY: Born and
spent her childhood in Mantana while her parents worked at the Federation
consulate there - this affected her development as she grew up with no
predetermined gender roles; given that Mantanan children don't have gender
until they reach puberty, she wasn't exposed to much of that kind of socialization
during her school days there. She did well at the Academy, studying
field dynamics, but has worked in Security roles ever since. She
was in one of the ships that were first on the scene at Wolf 359 (apart
from the Enterprise, but it wasn't involved in the later rescue);
it was thanks to her unwavering belief that there were survivors in the
Pleiades that they were saved.
PERSONAL DETAILS:
· She argued that the radiation
leaks coming from all the breached and sundered warp cores in the area
at Wolf 359 could be causing the interference in their sensors instead
of creating the lifesign "ghosts" on the fragment left of the Pleiades
- she eventually convinced a transporter chief to beam some of the "ghosts"
over, and they were real people. At risk of her own life, she then
beamed over to get the others out. She was highly commended for this.
· She would like to move back
to Mantana someday, but at the moment it's easier to call Trill home.
She's fascinated by the Mantanans; though she still considers herself Trill,
she simply isn't interested in Joining, etc.
FAMILY DETAILS:
· Mother -
, alive (Federation attache to the Behmellan ambassador)
· Father -
, alive
FAMILY HISTORY: Her mother
was an aide to the Federation ambassador to Mantana, and her father was
there in some official capacity, too. They had little choice but
to allow Viana to go to Mantanan schools, and though she knows it was a
marvellous opportunity for Viana to learn about another culture, her mother
feels it may have been at the expense of learning about her own.
SECRETS IN BACKGROUND?:
FUTURE MILESTONES?:
DETAIL RELATIONSHIPS WITH:
Susan
Randall: She's the Captain - awe, respect, keep out of the way!
Do the job as well as possible and hope that one day she notices your good
work - though that's not the main reason for doing it, it's still a consideration.
James
Grieg: He's her Commander - she respects him and as such is quiet
around him, but will often speculate about his love life with the rest
of the Regulars when he isn't around.
K’Teira:
She isn't quite sure how to take the Klingon - is she really all she seems?
On a surface level she likes her, but she can't really let herself in any
further than that because of that uncertainty.
Eden
Pendehar: She wouldn't see much of him; he's just the CMO, and
that's his entire identity for her.
Rell:
She'd work for him sometimes and would enjoy his funny stories - she'd
really want to impress him to end up in his division, but she'd genuinely
like him as well.
Elek:
The Commander of all Commanders - don't argue with this one; the
only one she will actively avoid arguing with.
Ian
Randall: She wouldn't often see him.
Thomas Moore:
A dangerous character. She doesn't know whether to scrach his eyes
out for the way he makes Daniels "crawl", or to make a play for him.
She finds him disturbingly attractive.
Kylen Dubois:
She'd like her, and they'd work together sometimes.
Berry
Moggadí: Is unsure about Berry as yet.
Matthew
Daniels: These two need each other, for she's great with systems
and he's teaching her the tricks of the Security trade. She protects
him, in a way, and she idolises his skills.
Jedera:
He's so different to her, she doesn't know whether to be in awe of him
or pick on him. It usually ends up somewhere in between, though they
are friends.
Jondalar Barlok:
They'd be friends and have their Mantanan experiences in common, so they
often talk. She might be a little jealous of him, though.
Lisa Willbanks:
She's often on the other side in arguments against Viana - they're
antagonists. But they get along really well; there isn't the rancour
between them of say, Lisa and Carmen.
Joenn: She
would get on Viana's goat, with her so moral attitudes. She'd like
to show Joenn how much fun can be had, but knows it probably won't happen!
Chianeé
Deserine: Viana cringes at the barbs Chianeé sometimes
fires at her. |
