AMBITIONS:
GENERAL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Appears detached and cold. He isn’t afraid to tell senior officers just what he thinks of them. Doesn’t seek out company – in fact, he actively avoids it. He gives everyone the impression that they’re being tested, observed, examined – because they are. Has seen, experienced and, on occasion, caused, an awful lot of suffering in his life. No one would ever confide in him – although he’d never betray a confidence, people are worried what advise he’d give. He is, quite surprisingly, very good with children. HOBBIES/RECREATION:
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Tall, wiry. Long dark hair, normally tied back in a ponytail. Several scars in various places, the most striking being around the neck – he refuses to elaborate on how he got it. Medium skin, grey eyes. (Highland Scottish accent) (6’01") WHY CHARACTER JOINED STARFLEET: The only place he knew of after escaping Bajor. Wanted to fulfil his father’s ambitions and command a Starship. PERSONAL HISTORY: Born in a monastery on Bajor, the son of Eddie Moore, a Starfleet Officer trapped on the planet by the Cardassian invasion, and Vedek Moore Bena. At age six, he was forced to watch as a Cardassian named Glinn Dukat killed his father. Four years later, he ran away and joined the resistance. After eight years fighting in the resistance, he married Keeve Sala, his childhood sweetheart. Six months later, Sala and their unborn child were killed by Gul Dukat in an attempt to trap Moore. Rather than fall into the trap, he escaped from Bajor and made his way to Earth, where he enrolled in Starfleet Academy. He excelled in combat tactics and hand to hand combat, and graduated with honours. He was shuffled from one post to another, one ship to the next, for six years before landing the position of Security Chief aboard USS Wellington. During his time on the Wellington, Moore began a passionate affair with another officer, Ensign Ro Laren. When she was Court-martialled for failing to obey orders, Moore swore never to get involved with anyone else again. Since then, he has bounced from post to post, never settling anywhere. PERSONAL DETAILS:
FAMILY DETAILS:
FAMILY HISTORY:
SECRETS IN BACKGROUND?: The death of his wife on Bajor, the murder of his father and his relationship with Ro. He won’t talk about these to anyone. He was involved in several ‘Black Ops’ behind enemy lines during the Cardassian Wars, but no details are available. FUTURE MILESTONES?:
DETAIL RELATIONSHIPS WITH: Susan Randall: She is the Captain. That is, as far as he’s concerned, the beginning and the end of the discussion. He dislikes her pacifist approach, but doesn’t think it’s his place to tell her how to run her ship. On a personal level, he admires and envies her for her family life. James Grieg: Although he disapproves of Grieg’s command style, he has enormous respect for the man, feeling that, if his life had been different, that’s how he might have turned out. One of the few people on the ship he’d be likely to count as a friend. K’Teira: The one counseller he can feel comfortable around. He appreciates her not ‘turning counsellor’ on him all the time, and responds by trying to ‘join in’. It doesn’t often work, though. Eden Pendehar: He doesn’t understand why people feel sorry for him. He respects Eden as a medic, but is liable to get irritated by his ‘patronising’ sympathy. He is resigned to the fact that people are going to hate his profession and his past. Rell: Rell reminds him of his father, who was extremely jolly. As a result, he’s highly envious of the man, and avoids him wherever possible. Elek: He admires her Vulcan detachment, and respects her professional outlook…though there’s something funny about the way she behaves… Ian
Randall: A wimpy, pacifist scientist who’s got less guts than
a Cardassian after twenty minutes with the Shakaar resistance cell.
Over time, he will come to realise that Ian has more guts than he gave
him credit for, but will never understand his idealistic pure science
Kylen Dubois: He doesn't get why she left SI. In his mind that's the perfect place for her to make the Cardassians pay for what they did to her and her father. But Kylen just wants to leave it alone and move on. So basically he doesn't get why she left and she doesn't get why he wants to stay in and to have her rejoin. He constantly (at first) reminds her of all the good she did in SI. The successful missions and the like but she doesn't want to hear any of it. Eventually he learns to just drop the subject. And they become friends. Since Moore has had a lot of pain in his life and tends to lock up his emotions and the like he starts to fall for her, but this will be a long process. Berry Moggadí: He’s sick of Counsellors, sick of telepaths, empaths, psychopaths, anything ending in ‘-path’. He finds her ‘counselling will cure everything’ attitude annoying, and is liable to snap if pushed. Matthew Daniels: He can see Daniels’ potential as a tactician and a soldier, but detests his immaturity. He thinks of Daniels as ‘the one on the sharp end’ of his advice, and respects him as a soldier. He won’t use his rank to force his decisions on him, but instead he'll point out possible courses of action and trust the Lieutenant to choose the right one. Jedera: Generally ignores him as ‘A science-type’. He is often annoyed by what he sees as Jedera’s patronising sympathy. Sees their relationship as a classic example of ‘keep out of my way and we’ll get on fine’. Jondalar Barlok: He approves of Jondalar’s humour, as long as it’s not directed at him. Ever. Respects him as a fellow soldier, and would trust him to watch his back in a phaserfight. Lisa Willbanks: A doctor, and therefore worthy of respect. The one who’d patch up holes after a scrap, so someone to get on the good side of. He is rather resigned to the fact that she’s afraid of him, and is trying to teach her that he’s only dangerous to his enemies. They’re liable to get into some fearful rows, though. Viana Jancris: He likes working with her, thinking of her as a soldier who knows her job. He wouldn’t get to know her personally, but his twisted sense of humour wouldn’t be above planting a few tasty rumours for her to pass on. Joenn: Although they meet very rarely, he sees her potential as a command officer, so he tries not to intimidate her. Chianeé Deserine: Who? |
