I have gathered information on our greatest enemies, the Atreides scum. Our spies did a good job. Read and use the knowledge to crush this pitiful house.

ATREIDES FACTS

Atreides logo Home planet: Caladan
Government: Monarchy
Military power: Moderate
Economic strength: Negligible
Prestige: Hated by most other Great Houses
Possible allies: The Fremen and some Minor Houses

ATREIDES UNITS

Light Infantry
This is the basic Atreides infantry. The weapon that they carry is a simple rifle. They're good in large numbers. They're a bit more powerful, but also a bit more expensive than the Harkonnen version.
Sniper
An Atreides sniper... this should be fun. As this unit is only useful against infantry, our units won't have any trouble in smashing them. But don't let them become elite veterans, or they'll get stealthy.
Kindjal trooper
This is the Kindjal trooper, a very powerful infantry. When moving, the Kindjals have a small gun for self-defense. But they can deploy, gaining the ability to fire their huge cannon. Watch out for these.
Engineer
The Atreides Engineer is unarmed, so it's probably cheaper than the Harkonnen one. They can capture buildings, so kill them whenever you see them.
Scout
The Scout is a very fast unit with a long line of sight. It becomes stealthy when it doesn't move. So it's best used for... scouting, of course.
Sand Bike
The old Atreides Trike is back. It's useless as always. Just an annoying light scout. Now it's called a Sand Bike.
Mongoose
This is the Mongoose, a pretty fast anti-vehicle unit. It can also fire at aircraft, since it fires missiles. Kill it with infantry.
APC
The Atreides APC is slow and has a very small gun (that's only useful against single soldiers). But it is stealthy! Spread scouts around your base to detect Atreides APCs.
Minotaurus
This highly armoured and well-armed vehicle is best used against infantry. It has medium to long range. The Minotaurus is the heavy Atreides combat vehicle and it's a mech.
Repair Vehicle
The Atreides can repair their vehicles, using this unit. Destroy these things to prevent their forces from recovering.
Sonic tank
Just like in other Dune games, the Sonic Tank fires sound waves that damage everything in their path. That makes it fun to watch how it blasts through its own troops.
MCV
The MCV can deploy on rock, turning itself into a Construction Yard. This vehicle is expensive and slow.
Harvester
The Harvester is the workhorse of your resourcing operations. It is the only unit capable of collecting spice and delivering it at a Refinery. If you lose all your Harvesters, you get one for free (as long as you still have at least one Refinery).
Carryall
This is the Carryall, a huge transport aircraft. It automatically picks up Harvesters and moves them around the map, just like in Dune 2000.
Advanced Carryall
The Advanced Carryall in not automatic, you can control it. It acts a lot like the Orca Carryall from TS. It can move any one vehicle around the map.
Air Drone
The Air Drone is a flying AA unit. It fires missiles at other air units. Shoot them down with AA-capable ground units, before an air attack.
Ornithopter
The Ornithopter... the Atreides use these light and fast pests against our ground units. They fire missiles and they must return to a Landing Pad to re-load.

ATREIDES BUILDINGS

Construction Yard
This is the most important Atreides building. It should be your primary target.
Windtrap
This is the Atreides Windtrap. It uses the strong arrakian wind to provide power to Atreides bases. It has only weak armor.
Refinery
The Atreides Refinery is just like the other houses' refineries. It is the place where Harvesters unload spice. Refineries can be upgraded with unloading "docks", so up to 3 Harvesters can unload at the same Refinery.
Outpost
The Outpost provides radar to Atreides commanders. Destroy it to leave them blind. Or destroy the Windtraps, since the Outpost needs power to operate.
Barracks
The Barracks is the same as always. It trains infantry. Veteran Atreides infantry can return to the Barracks and train all other units (of the same kind as the veteran), so they come out of the Barracks as veterans.
Factory
The Atreides build all their vehicles from the Factory. This is a very important building and you should always try to destroy it.
Machinegun Tower
This basic Atreides turret is a very weak defense. Only an ordinary machinegun turret, good against infantry. It's pretty cheap.
Hangar
An important Atreides structure, the Hangar builds aircraft, like the Ornithopters. It it well-armoured. It should be annihilated whenever possible.
Starport
The Atreides Starport is like all Starports. As such, it is a very important building. So you must attack it whenever you can.
Rocket Turret
This is the most powerful Atreides defense. It fires missiles and can hit both ground and air units. It's useful against vehicles and aircraft, so try to attack it with infantry.
Landing Pad
The Landing Pad is a high platform that rearms Atreides air units in need.
Palace
The palace... it gives the Atreides their superweapon, the Hawk Strike. It's a strong building, but the Hawk Strike isn't really a threat. It's a large hawk hologram that swoops above the battlefield scaring enemy troops, possibly making them flee off the map.
