Nod units--
-
Light infantry
The light infantry is only useful
in the early missions and in low tech levels in multiplayer. It's the all-purpose
infantry for both our forces and the GDI scums. Most weapons are effective
against it, except missiles.
Rocket infantry
The rocket infantry is always
useful as a cheap missile-launching unit. It's also a pretty useful AA
weapon. Use them for guarding.
Cyborg infantry
Not only our advanced infantry,
but also our best unit. In large numbers they're unstoppable. They heal
themselves on tiberium. This can be very useful if they stay on it when
fighting. Use them to crush the pitiful GDI forces!
Engineer
This is a very useful unit,
used by us as well as Solomon's army. They can enter damaged buildings
to repait them to full health. They can repair bridges by entering the
repair huts. But most importantly, they can capture enemy buildings. Remember
you loose the engineer when he enters a building.
Nod buggy
Our light attack
vehicle, also useful for scouting. Use it only in early missions and low
multiplayer tech levels. Its main use is killing infantry.
Tick tank
One of our new and revolutionary
technologies. It's the main component of our conventional forces. It's
a "medium" unit. It's advantage is that it can half-bury itself in the
ground, leaving only the turret above surface. Always bury it when fighting.
It can't move while it's buried, but it has much, much more armor.
Attack cycle
The fastest ground unit in the
game... and it's ours. It's excellent for scouting. Although it has light
armor, it's cheap and very useful in large numbers. Because it fires missiles,
it's very useful against vehicles. Elite (high-veterancy) Attack Cycles
can also fire at air units.
Artillery
This is it: our most poweful
unit. The pride of the Nod armies. Kane's own death machine. It has an
incredible range and firepower. However, it's pretty expensive and slow.
It must be deployed to fire. Still, you can bomb an enemy base from a few
screens away! It's vulnerable at close range, but devastating at long range.
Subterranean APC
A very useful vehicle. Fill
it with engineers, send it into the enemy base and start taking over their
buildings! Of course, it's also great for dropping cyborgs behind enemy
defence lines.
Stealth tank
The silent stalker. Sneak this
invisible tank past enemy lines and crush them. But its best use is against
aircraft. They'll never see it comming. Watch out for MSAs, because they
can make the Stealth Tank visible to the enemy.
Mobile sensor array (MSA)
Just a detection unit. Use it
to detect underground or stealthy enemy units. Of course, only Nod has
those. You don't need a MSA against the stupid GDI. Both Nod and GDI have
this unit.
Mobile repair vehicle
Heh, heh! The GDI doesn't have
these. The mobile repair vehicle is, of course, mobile (unlike the GDI
repair facility). But most of all, it repairs vehicles absolutely FREE!!!
Devil's tongue
The inferno machine. It's our
highy advanced flame tank. Unfortunatelly, it's only useful against infantry.
Still, it has battering rams in the front and, more importantly, it can
go underground.
Harpy
This is the helicopter of the
future. Nod's basic flying unit. It's only useful in large numbers or against
non-AA targets.
Banshee
After we've recovered alien
technology, we designed this advanced aircraft. It's the most powerful
in the game. It shoots plasma charges, devastating everything in it's path.
Use them a lot.
Mutant hijacker
Our mutant unit.
This hijacker can enter any vehicle and capture it. If the vehicle is destroyed,
the hijacker comes out without a scratch. Especially useful for stealing
mammoths, attacking from their back. Unfortunately, you can only have one
at a time.
Cyborg commando
The ultimate war machine. The
bringer of death. This is our greatest weapon. Like all cyborgs, it heals
itself on tiberium. It's firepower is unequalled. With a rapid-fireing
plasma gun, nothing can stand in it's way. Unfortunately, you can only
have one at a time.
Hunter seeker
This is a kamikaze droid. It
can't be killed. Once released, it will randomly pick an enemy unit as
a target. It will destroy it in a kamikaze attack. That target can be a
construction yard as well as a mear soldier. Both Nod and GDI have this
unit.
Harvester
This is a resource-collecting
unit. Obviously, both Nod and GDI have it. You need it to get more money.
It's basic. It unloads at a refinery.
Weed eater
Our modified harvester. Instead
of harvesting blue or green tiberium, it eats the orange tiberium veins,
which are then used to make a chemical missile. It unloads at a tiberium
waste facility.
Mobile construction vehicle
(MCV)
Since you can't build construction
yards, this is how you get one. Just deploy an MCV.
Multi-missile
Our non-destroyable
mass destruction weapon. After it's launched, it can't be stopped. It explodes
above it's target and it brakes into a number of smaller missiles, damaging
a large area. It's built slowly, for free.
Chemical missile
Another one of
our missiles. The most powerful weapon in the game. It makes just a single
explosion, but it leaves behind very dangerous tiberium clouds that can
turn soldiers into visceroids and damage anything around them. It's built
for free very fast, but you need to fill a tiberium waste facility to start
building it.

GDI units--
-
Light infantry
The light infantry is only useful
in the early missions and in low tech levels in multiplayer. It's the all-purpose
infantry for both our forces and the GDI scums. Most weapons are effective
against it, except missiles.
Disk thrower
This despised GDI unit fires
aerodynamical disk-like grenades. Use heavy vehicles to crush them.
Medic
The GDI uses these medics to
heal their weak soldiers. Kill them without
mercy.
Jump jet infantry
Our enemy's advanced infantry.
They carry vulcan cannons and they can use jets to fly. Unlike other air
units, they can stay up there and fire forever. Use missile weapons to
shoot them down like pigeons.
Engineer
This is a very useful unit,
used by us as well as Solomon's army. They can enter damaged buildings
to repait them to full health. They can repair bridges by entering the
repair huts. But most importantly, they can capture enemy buildings. Remember
you loose the engineer when he enters a building.
Wolverine
The GDI's lightest vehicle.
Useful only against infantry. Annihilate it with heavy vehicles or cyborgs.
Titan
The GDI's all-purpose vehicle.
It replaces the old GDI tanks. It can shoot over walls, but it's pretty
slow. Use superior firepower or advanced tech on it.
Hover MRLS
This is the GDI's main missile-launching
unit. It's their best AA vehicle. Unfortunately, it's a hover unit so it
can also move over water. Still, it's very slow and expensive. Our special
weapons can handle it.
Disrupter
GDI's most powerful vehicle
(except the one-of-a-kind Mammoth). But not nearly enough to stop us. The
disrupter fires a sonic wave that damages anything in its path. It has
an obvious weakness: blasting through its own army. Make sure some of their
own units are in front of their disrupters.
Amphibious APC
This is a pathetic GDI unit.
It's only special ability is that it can cross water. It's no threat.
Mobile sensor array (MSA)
Just a detection unit. Use it
to detect underground or stealthy enemy units. Of course, only Nod has
those. You don't need a MSA against the stupid GDI. Both Nod and GDI have
this unit.
Orca fighter
The GDI's basic aircraft. Not
too useful, you can easily shoot it down with AA-capable weapons. The only
danger is that it might crash into your base, or attack Harvesters with
no AA support.
Orca bomber
The heavy attack aircraft of
the GDI. It's very dangerous and it drops high-explosive bombs. A very
good reason to have many SAM sites.
Orca carryall
A pretty useless unit of the
GDI. It can carry units across the battlefield, but only one at a time.
It's only use is transporting a Mammoth MK2. Shoot it down and the unit
that it carries will smash into the ground.
Ghost stalker
This is the GDI's mutant unit.
It has a railgun and C4 explosives. The railgun is very powerful and the
C4 is used for demolishing buildings. It's weakness is that it can only
destroy buildings by C4-ing them. So it must get to a building to destroy
it. Our Obelisks of Light can make short work of it. Besides, the GDI can
only have one at a time.
Mammoth MK2
The biggest threat to the brotherhood.
This despised GDI vehicle has 2 raiguns in the front and 2 SAM launchers
in the back. However, it can be taken down easily by superior firepower.
Don't worry if they attack you with it. Its slow speed makes it nearly
a sitting duck to Obelisks of Light. One Obelisk can take it out alone.
Besides, the GDI can only have one at a time.
Hunter seeker
This is a kamikaze droid. It
can't be killed. Once released, it will randomly pick an enemy unit as
a target. It will destroy it in a kamikaze attack. That target can be a
construction yard as well as a mear soldier. Both Nod and GDI have this
unit.
Harvester
This is a resource-collecting
unit. Obviously, both Nod and GDI have it. You need it to get more money.
It's basic. It unloads at a refinery.
Mobile construction vehicle
(MCV)
Since you can't build construction
yards, this is how you get one. Just deploy an MCV.
Ion cannon
GDI's most poweful
weapon. It's fired from a satellite. It doesn't cost them anything, but
it takes a long time to recharge. Since there's no protection against it,
just make sure you've got space between your buildings, so it doesn't affect
more than one building. |
