Anguish
I'm missing your heartbeat, missing your breath
Of all that was you, nothing is left
I'm missing your touch, missing your voice
But, of letting you go, I had no choice
Beyond my reach, you've passed away
I wonder if you can hear what I say?
Does your spirit live on, or are you at rest?
Of your memories, I've kept all the best
Shall I carry on as if nothing's changed?
Shall I forever mourn this chiseled stone?
Shall I withhold my pain, become estranged?
Shall I live in the past, and die alone?
Shall I block the tears, or let them pour?
Shall I fall to pieces without you around?
Shall I punch the walls till I'm bloody and sore?
Or shall I slit my wrists, and join you in the ground?
"What shall I do?" The questions don't end
My mind is clouded, confusion sets in
"Why you and not me?" I can't understand
Anguish is mine since death took your hand
