Bows & Arrows
She was the bow
That shot my hope into the sky
An arrow flying in the light
My heart was the tip
Seeking to go higher
Searching for her heart
Alas, I would not find it
Gravity became reality
Forcing the hope to descend
Aimed now at the ground
My heart buried itself
In the darkness of the earth
Light now forgotten
The bow only a memory
For I've come to understand
That someone else owns the bow
My arrow will not be looked for
My heart will not be found
