THROUGH THE EYES OF A CHILD

Rodelyn lay in his arms as the night wore on. She'd been crying and so had he. She'd driven to his house and he asked her to stay the night, just so they could be at the hospital early together. Once they were in, Rodelyn became quiet and withdrawn and it took everything Jordan had to get her to open up to him. He figured it had to do with their fight and he apologized to her many times because he knew he was wrong.

"That isn't the problem Jordan. There isn't a problem actually."

"Well then what Rodelyn."

"I, I feel bad that Evan's in the hospital." She stopped and stared at him. As he got ready to speak she hushed him "Evan's in the hospital and all I can think about is how much I love you." She looked down. There was a silenced for what seemed liked minutes as Jordan looked at her.

"You what?"

"Jordan, I love you, I've figured it out and now I'm admitting it." She looked up at him fearing that he would resent her for telling him that. After rejecting him and letting him go, here she was trying to pull him towards her, trying to manipulate his love, she thought.

"Rodelyn, I don't know what to say, but I love you too." He pulled her to him and they hugged for the longest time. He finally pulled away and put her chin in his hand as he wiped the tears from her eyes. "I'm glad you came to your senses." He laughed "Rod, I love you so much. I hated that we had that fight, it was sort of like a break up to me. How do you think I felt leaving the city to go and tour knowing I couldn't talk to you? That you were angry at me." Tears welled in his eyes again and he recalled his feeling.

"Well I saw you at your concert here and you weren't that hot." She explained how she had to go and wanted to go up to him then.

"Don't you ever do that to me again love." He leaned her chin up and kissed her gently as his arms circled her waist. She stood on her tip-toes and kissed him back lovingly, putting her arms around his neck, caressing his hair as he moaned.

"I never thought I would feel this Rodelyn." He kissed her tenderly and lay her on his bed where for the next few hours they talked and made love. She loved him with all of her heart and these would of have been the most bittersweet moments if not for the fact that Evan was laying in the hospital. They never fell asleep that night but lay quietly beside each other thinking of Evan.
