Rodelyn heard nothing from Jordan for the next days. Her stomach ached. She had a continuous headache, it seemed like the skies wanted to contribute to her mood because it was a continuous rainfall for 3 days. She knew he'd be leaving on tour soon and she still had her ticket to his concert in Boston, she'd brought one, just so she would be able to see him. It wasn't close, which was good because she didn't' want him to see her. The night of the concert she dressed in jeans and a sweater, her coat hood over her head. She walked in and was both surprised and proud to see the turn out. Women, girls and men lined the rows waiting to see the new Jordan Knight perform, on his own. She sat there scared of the thought of seeing him knowing they weren't friends as they were a few days before. She'd thought alot about what he'd said and what she'd said over the past days. They were both wrong about each other, although he had reason to think she was a cold uncaring person. More than anything in the world she wished she could take back that whole phone conversation. Why did she have to call him? It wouldn't have made any difference because if she had called and had Evan taken away from his mom, Jordan would have been furious with her too. The lights went out and a few minutes later Jordan was on stage singing his hit "Give it to You." He looked tired, withdrawn she noticed. His eyes didn't have that sparkle they normally did, but he put on a great performance. Had he been thinking about her too she wondered. He stayed on stage for nearly two hours and finally he was through. He got a standing ovation, but he didn't come back out. Suddenly everyone was walking out the doors and she was left standing there staring at the emptying theatre. Quietly she put on her coat and walked out to catch a cab, looking back she wanted to push her legs to go back in and find him, to tell her she was wrong to let him know she cared and that most in life she cared about him.
Jordan looked out once more at the audience hoping to see her, but nothing. The performance had all but drained him and he was glad it was over. He'd hardly gotten any sleep during the last few days, a big no no he knew in show business. He was leaving tomorrow for Maryland and from there he'd be gone for at least the next 2 months.
"Hey Jordan, that was slammin" Hector, his friend and former member of Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch called. "Thanks for having me as one of your dancers."
"No problem Hector, man, you know you can move, and everyone out there knew it too. I saw a few of the ladies staring at you."
Hector smiled "Well, you know." He walked off and joined a group of dancers heading out to a club. They didn't care that they were leaving early tomorrow morning.
Jordan got his coat and went to the limo. A few girls were waiting outside and he signed autographs and took a few pictures. He hoped the pictures wouldn't tell his story. He knew he looked tired, he should be.
He wanted to call her so many times but he couldn't. The fact is he just didn't want to face her. He was part angry at her for not believing him and not being able to believe that Linda did not abuse him, and part angry at himself for knowing that she did have reason to believe what she thought and that it was her job to protect Evan. I mean, wasn't that what she was doing, trying to protect him. He remembered the night he'd got to Linda's house and found her drunk and passed out. Was he hiding something and just refused to see it? He'd still gone and picked up Evan after that still seeing him. He had to, there was no way he'd stop caring for the little boy. They had a bond. The limo drove to the hotel he was staying at that night and got undressed. His heart ached for Rodelyn and there was nothing he could do. There was something, but he wasn't ready for that yet. He climbed into bed and lay awake until his alarm clock rang.

"Hometown sexpot Jordan Knight has hit the road now. He's embarked on a 2 month tour..." Rodelyn cut the radio off. She didn't want to hear about Jordan she wanted to get on with her life. She got dressed and went to the car dealership to pick up her new 1999 Nissan Pathfinder. She felt happy that she finally had a car, but her heart still hurt. With nothing more to do and a new car she decided to take a trip home for the weekend.
