| Chapter One: The Mission At Hand |
My name is Damian. I am fourteen years old. I have dark brown hair and eyes, and I stand at basically 5'7. I'm a shy type guy, I'm kind of anti-social, and I don't like to be around large groups of people. But that doesn't mean that I don't Have friends. Robbie was my best friend of ten years. He was taller then me and had black hair and hazel eyes. Of course we never saw his hair, he was always wearing a strange Ninja costume. He loved Ninjas. Joey I had known only three years, but he was a good friend. He had sandy blonde hair and blue eyes. He was a bit taller then me, but not much. But maybe I should just tell the story and get it over with.
Everyone has one of those days right? A day were nothing seems to go as planned?
Everything seemed so perfect, Robbie, Joey and I were all prepped for a night of Pizza, Movies
and Laser Tag. As I walked toward the street where I said I'd meet the guys, I felt as though
something was beckoning to me... I ignored it and kept walking. Then Suddenly, something
blunt connected with my head...I fell over and everything went black. What had happened?
I had a very strange dream while I was out.. Something was in my hand...a weapon...a...Sword.
A Very well crafted sword...upon further inspection I noticed this was no ordinary sword, The
handle was very expensive looking, crafted to look like a demon. The Blade was roughly 2-3 feet
long and pretty heavy. I continued to expect it and suddenly I became wrapped in energy...as if
the energy was strangling me...I awoke at that moment... I sat up and in my hand was the exact
sword from my dream! My hands were also glowing!! The energy from my dream! As if it was seeping into my body! What did all this mean...? Suddenly my mind opened up and information unveiled itself to me... It turns out this was a magic sword, and now its Black Magic was mine to
control. It also gave me several other skills, but they would need to be learned overt time. I also
now had life force, should anyone kill me, my sword would be able to cling on to the last few shreds
of life left in my body, and revive me. Amazing...I had to show the others. I found a sheath laying next to me so I picked it up and put it around my back. I sheathed the sword and dashed toward the street where I saw Joey and Rob standing.
"Dude there you are! You're late!" Shouted Joey.
"Yes, Where have you been Orange Ninja?" Asked Robbie, always speaking like a Ninja. Calling me orange Ninja because I always wore my Orange Dragon Jacket.
"Dudes I found something...something awesome..." I said, Unsheathing my sword.
"Holy crap! Where'd you get it, Dame?" Asked Joey.
"I just...FOUND it!" I exclaimed.
"No Way.. You just FOUND a sword like this?!?" Said Joey
"Yep."
"Looks Like today is your lucky day Orange Ninja.." Said Robbie.
"But theres more...This is a Magical sword..." I started.
I explained everything to them in great detail. I explained the black magic, the life force, everything. They were very interested. They both wanted me to test out the magic. But I didnt want to do it in public, so we went to an open field near my house. I concentrated as hard as I could, which for me isnt very hard because I have bad concentration. I focused on a simple Fire Ball spell. My hand started to flash red and then Suddenly...a Huge fireball formed in my hand!! I couldn't
believe it! I shot the fireball into the open field. I couldn't believe all this. I was still in shock, as were Robbie and Joey. I opened up my mind...I only had one other spell, Magic Missile. I used it. A big pink energy ball shot from my hand. It was pretty cool.
"I must use this power only for good...and sometimes evil!" I shouted, And Raised my sword up high.
"And I shall Help you with my Ninja Skillizah, Orange Ninja!" Said Robbie.
"Eh...I guess I'll help, although I only fight if i'm provoked...or if they're REALLY, REALLY ugly too." Said Joey.
My sword flashed and Both Joey and Robbie were wrapped in its energy. They were both given a life force, like me. And then Suddenly, Words appeared in our heads...They were voiceless, but I still knew what they were saying. As Did my friends. They said the following:
"The Veil has been lifted for you. You will now see things that few other humans can see." Said the voice.
"What do you mean...What Veil?" I asked.
"1000 years ago, The first monster surfaced. His name was Malzakk, a Fire dragon. God of Fire. People were to weak and scared to defeat him, so he had pity on them. Malzakk put a veil over the eyes of all humans. Monsters could never see humans who were veiled, and veiled humans could never see monsters. Monsters are everywhere. You have been unveiled, because now, you have been given the lifeforce that only a few humans have been given. You cannot die. Well, you can but you will revive soon. The veil has been from you. You will immediately notice other humans who are unveiled. There are few, but seek them out, and they will help you. Boys I have a request from you. Defeat Malzakk and all other monsters will fall. Defeat him and the earth will return to its natural state. Please, Do this for me. I will assist you." Said the voice.
"But who are you...?" Asked Joey.
"I am your spirit guide. Maldrayo. I was Malzakks brother. But he killed me when I tried to stop him from veiling humans. I wanted us to live in peace, but that can never be. I will help you if you defeat my brother." Said Maldrayo.
"I'll accept your quest Maldrayo!" I said.
"Me too." Said Joey.
"Lets do it! In the end there will be Ninjas and dead pirates everywhere!" Shouted Robbie.
"Good. Thank you. Go then, defeat monsters and become stronger!" Said Maldrayo.
"Hey wait, Rob, Look a pirate!" Said Joey, pointing.
"WHERE?!" Rob unsheathed his Katana and ran to the distance.
"I don't see a pirate..." I said.
"I know I just wanted to see if that would work." Said Joey.
"Heh." I smirked.
"Dude Rob's friggin' weird.." Joey said, glaring at Rob as he ran around slashing madly with his sword.
"I know. Oh well, HEY ROB, HE GOT AWAY!" I shouted
He came back.
"Lets go guys!" I lifted my sword and it flashed.
We glowed again and we de-materialized from the world. We then reappeared in a different place..some where we had never been before... It was dark and strange....Odd creatures walked around the earth... There were no people or structures...tons of land..
"Come on guys, lets find some shelter." I said.
They nodded and we started walking. Before long we reached an Inn. We checked in and got some sleep. The rooms were much like they should have been, but it was still very odd... Things were still a bit different...the air itself didn't seem like our own..
