| Chapter Nine: More Unfolds |
"So where are you guys from?" Asked Kiki.
"Florida." Said Joey.
"Florida...?" Asked Kiki.
"Earth, third planet in the Milkyway Galaxy. North America, A Continent in Earth's western Hemisphere. Florida, a state in the far south." I said.
"Earth? Milkyway..I think i've heard of it. I think Thats the planet that is linked to ours through the Inter-Dimension." She said.
"The Inter-Dimension? What is that?" I asked.
"It's a portal space that connects our two planets. I believe Malzakk closed the portal because our monsters were crossing over to your world." Said Kiki.
"Crossing over...But...Then Maldrayo.." I started.
"Really now? Are you going to listen to this little wench?" Said the familiar voice.
"Maldrayo!?" I shouted.
"What did you call me?!!" Shouted Kiki.
"She speaks Lies! I'm sorry I attacked you Damian, I was plotting against my brother and Dragons hate to be interrupted when we're plotting." Said Maldrayo.
"That isn't a very reliable story..." Said Joey.
"You need to get to the Space port and make them open it back up!" Said Maldrayo.
"Why?" Asked Robbie.
"It will help the economy." Said Maldrayo.
"I don't know about this.." I said.
"Just do it. I must go now." Said Maldrayo.
"I don't know.." I said.
Maldrayo was gone. We all packed up and headed south. We passed the Marina and saw the friendly captain sitting by his new boat. He waved at us and smiled. We waved back. We continued south. What exactly was the space port? I Wonder...
"Kiki, do you know what the space port is?" I asked.
"Oh! Yea. Its an inter-stellar trade port. We use it to make trade with other planets and universes. But its been shut down for over a millenia." She said.
"Why did they shut it down, Purple Ninja?" Asked Rob.
"...Please don't call me that." Said Kiki.
"They shut it down because monsters were using it to get to other worlds and attacked them. Malzakk didn't want to see that so he shut down the port. If we open it back up then only bad can happen!" Explained Kiki.
"Why didn't you say that earlier?" I asked.
"I dunno..." She said.
"Don't be afraid of Maldrayo. I'll make sure he doesn't hurt you." I said.
"OOOOOOOH" Said Robbie, making Kissy faces.
"SHUT THE HELL UP ROBBIE!" I shouted.
"DAME AND KIKI SITTING IN A TREE F-U-" He started.
"Thats enough Rob!" Said Joey.
"..."
"..."
"I told you we'd fight..." Said Joey.
"Rob won't let up!" I said.
"Enough!" Yelled Joey.
"Now listen to me, She is gonna tear us apart, We should just leave her here!" Joey Said.
"WE NEED HER! WE ARE NOT LEAVING HER, SHE OFFICIALLY ONE OF THE TEAM!" I shouted.
"But Damian.." Joey started..
"No but's, shes coming with us." I said.
"I'm sorry guys..." Kiki said.
"It isn't your fault Kiki, Rob's just being a dick." I said.
"Hey I was wondering...Can I ask for a favor..?" Asked Kiki.
"Of course." I said.
"I hate it here...When you guys return to Earth, can I come too?" She asked.
"ABSOLUTELY--" Joey began.
"SURE!!!" I interrupted.
"Yay!" She said happily.
I smiled. Joey was pissed. I knew slightly in the back of my mind that Joey was probably right...We probably would fight alot more, but Kiki had already proven herself useful, and How could I possibly turn her down? I didn't want her to cause us to fight, but I would try as hard as I could to keep peace, as I knew Joey would as well. We were almost to the space port when we had seen our first Kadmarian Creature. It was a small little ...leaf...Sticking out of the ground. The only reason We noticed it is because I tripped over it. We all gathered around to see how such a tiny little leaf could cause me to fall.
"Its not even big enough for a fly to land on it.." Joey said.
"Hell a flea couldn't even make its home on that tiny thing..." Said Robbie.
"I'm telling you guys, it was like something wrapped around my leg and dragged me to the ground!" I said.
"But...This?" Joey said.
"Oh who cares lets just go." Robbie said.
"No...there has to be something..." I said.
I grabbed the leaf and yanked it out of the ground. It sizzled anf fizzled... Then it formulated into a reptilian creature. It stood there and looked around...It was huge. No one moved. I turned to Kiki slowly and asked her what the hell the creature was. She didn't move.. She slowly said...
"Its a Chameleon...a creature that can shapeshift itself into anything....It has a long sticky tongue, Damian thats probably what tripped you..." She said.
"Is it powerful?" I asked.
"I've never fought one...But they spit Poisonous Goo...and their skin is very armored...Their sight is very poor but their smell is amazing..." Kiki said.
"What do we do..?" I asked.
"Just stand still...and be very quiet." She whispered.
The creature slowly approached us. None of us moved. He sniffed us. He went over to Joey. Joey twitched. He couldn't stand reptiles. Joey was slowly freaking out. He then sneezed on the creature. The creature screeched loudly and spit a mouth full of poison in Joey's face. Joey fell to the ground and tried to pry to goo off of his face. He couldn't breathe, It was sufficating him.
"SHIT!" I swore.
"Ahhhhh! What do we do?!" Kiki asked, panicking.
"You two start attacking him, I'll try and help Joey!" I commanded.
Rob and Kiki ran at the creature and began to fight him. I ran to Joey. I tried to use my sword to make a cut in the goo, But it was too thick. I told Joey to stand still and remain calm. I charged up a fireball and hit Joey in the face with it. Luckily it worked. The goo melted off his face and he started breathing. I helped him up and we both went into the battle. I slashed him with my sword, But it had little affect. This was a defensive creature. Robbie, Kiki and Joey continued to try and physically attack him..but they weren't damaging him much. I used a Fireball attack on him. Not much damage. I tried an Ice Blast, but that also didn't do much. I tried the Dark Shot attack. Still not much damage. Finally I tried using the Flash attack. Nope. Nothing. He was really strong.
I sighed. "This is getting redundant. Whose turn is it to Enhance?"
"Ooh Ooh It's My turn!" Said Robbie.
"I can't believe we have to enhance everytime we fight." I said.
"Enhance meeeeee!" Said Rob.
"Enhance!!"
Robbie's body started flashing and turned jet black. He was nothing but a Shadow of a figure. He glared at the enemy. Like a flash of lightning Robbie dashed at the enemy and started pounding him down. Surprisingly it was very effective. Then Robbie shot several energy beams at him. Finally the creature shot some acid at Robbie. Robbie easily dodged, Rob finally finished him off. The creature fell down and disolved into dust. We all leveled up. More Magic for me and Kiki! I had learned the Freeze spell. She had learned Power Word "Cause Minor wounds".
"Well That sucked." Said Rob, turning to normal.
"Yep." I said.
"Let's just get going..." Joey said.
"Are we still going to the space port?" I asked.
"Might as well, theres probably food and shelter there, I'm hungry." Said Joey.
"Yea...Alright."
We continued south until we finally came to a big center. We walked into it. In the middle was a big cirlce object. We walked up to it but a group of guards stopped us. They told us that It as a portal to other worlds, and it was innactive. We shrugged and went to the food court! Finally some real food.
After shoving food in our faces for about an hour we found some chairs and slept for several hours. We gathered some food into little bags so we could take it with us. Just then this guy ran up to us with a letter and told us to immediately take it to the Kadmar Barracks. We didn't really want to, but whatever. He said that if we did, He would pay to let us go where ever we wanted at the Marina. So we started out on our next journey to the barracks.
